FONZ celebrates Hispanic Heritage
Month with an annual fiesta at the
National Zoo. With animal demonstrations,
Hispanic and Latino music, costumed
dancers, traditional crafts, and Latin
American foods, the event offers
something for everyone.
Zoo scientists will be on hand
throughout the event to discuss
field research being conducting
in Latin American countries.
Crafts available for sale will
include handmade jewelry, sweaters,
clay sculptures, bags, finger
puppets, and drums.
