SENIOR OUTREACH
As so many of our elderly are cooped up in their homes and do not get daily visits or the
vital medical services they need, we have taken it upon ourselves to gather up and pull to
together all available resources (state & local) to make sure that our elderly get the help
they deserve. This Includes Lifeline Services, phone services, meal services, public health services, Transportation to and from medical appointments,
Daily or weekly visits, and grocery shopping for the elderly.

SAFETY PATROLS

 

The red beret of The Guardian Angels organization has become an icon for safety around the world.

In each safety patrol chapter, Guardian Angels volunteers safeguard streets, subways and other public areas .From dusk until dawn , without weapons, these committed volunteers help to ensure that citizens can enjoy their communities without fearing for their safety. The Guardian Angels attend community festivals and other large gatherings to deter criminal elements from disrupting the celebrations.

Guardian Angels volunteers are also on call 24/7 and support the community whenever they are needed.

A unique feature of the Guardian Angels approach is the group’s inclusion of inner city youth in the safety patrols. By making young people part of the solution

Rather than casting them as part of the problem, The Guardian Angels empowers youth to take pride in their communities and contribute to the safety of their neighborhoods.

 

Community service is integral to Guardian Angel life. We believe that every community benefits by the involvement of its members. Our programs encourage individuals of every age to invest time and energy in their neighborhoods, and provide role models and examples of active participation… Young people invest by working on graffiti paint-outs, park clean-ups, and participate in diversity awareness activities. Adults volunteer to feed the homeless, help with disaster relief, and learn first aid to better be prepared to help their communities.
